Hi, because I am the chair of this session, may I ask a question about the influence of the intuitive timing differences between 5G NR and LTE on your comparison of simulations? I mean that some of the conditions of hardware computing speeds may be different, so how can you compare them? As you said, there may be differences in hardware parts between 5g and LTE even in the simulation. The focus of this paper is to implement this initial access process in 5g, which was not previously implemented. We measured the initial access time of 5G and LTE in order to explain the difference in the procedure through performance evaluation and to confirm the operation.

I have question for ns-3, If use ns-3 to simulation 5G NR RRC protocol, which need consider physical layer condition? like chanel effect or PRACH detection rate. Thanks£¡ In fact, in this paper, the physical layer for 5G refers to the 5g lena example network model that performs end-to-end communication based on the existing 5G and uses the settings as they are.
